Al Wakrah Port with Fujinon XF18mm f/2.0 | Christian Silang

It was fine afternoon and since I got home early from the office, I’ve decided to go for a walk and to test the combination of Fujifilm XPRO2 and Fujinon XF18mm f/2.0. On that time Al Wakrah Port came up to my mind and it’s only a few minutes drive from my house. I’ve got my Fujinon XF18mm f/2.0 from my friend in exchange with my Fujinon XF18-55mm f/2.8-4.0 R LM OIS and since I’m not a fan of zoom lens, without any hesitation I decided to swap it. Here’s my though on Fujinon XF18mm f/2.0. Fujinon XF18mm f/2.0 R is a fast fixed focal length equivalent to nearly 28mm with angle view of 76.5 degrees. It’s a pancake type lens with good color rendition and not so noticeable distortion. Sharpness at f/2.0 is quite impressive on the center but soft on the corners, over all sharpness will start from f/4.0 to maximum f/16.0. Focusing on my XPRO2 is quite fast and accurate, little bit noisy while focusing same as XF35mm f/1.4. It can be a daily use lens due to it’s compact size of 64.5mm x 40.6mm (Diameter) / 2.54 x 1.60 inches and weighting 116g (4.0 oz) excluding lens cap and hood…….
