The lack of digital flash units that work with Fujifilm’s TTL system are an example of how our favorite company has a bit of catching up to do within their lighting ecosystem. Up until now, if consumers wanted an external TTL flash, they were limited to specially designed units by Fujifilm themselves. Now, Metz has announced the upcoming availability of their Mecablitz 26AF-1, a digital TTL flash for Fujifilm system cameras. The Metz Mecablitz 26AF-1 is a digital flash that offers full TTL compatibility, along with a wireless slave TTL functionality. The unit runs on two AAA batteries and has a guide number of 85 at ISO 100 and 85mm. The unit can be tilted 90-degrees upward for bouncing light off surrounding structures. As a bonus, the flash unit contains a LED video light with two different output levels…….
