New Year on Kope | Gregor Harih

I’m not one of those people who knows a half year in advance where I’m going to spend the new year’s eve. I usually just regret before the end of the year, since all the good options are occupied or extremely expensive. It appeared that this year would be no different, however luck helped me and my friends, since we got a chance to spend the days around new year on the ski slopes of Pohorje, at Kope. Despite snowfall has been forecasted, we left the ski equipment at home. Despite this, we did not miss our recreation, since we opted for hiking in snowy landscape. Heavy snowfall was perfect for good photos and it would be a shame to stay in the cabin. Despite some concerns that the Fuji X-E2 is not, at least according to the manufacturer, weather proof (rain, snow, sand, etc.), I hung the camera around my neck started to shoot in temperatures below -10°C and at high snowfall. The fuji handled the task with no problem. The day after heavy snowfall, we woke up in a beautiful clear winter day. Despite the cold, we headed on a long hike in the idyllic winter landscape, which was perfect for landscape photography…….
