Using the Fujifilm X-T1 with off camera flash | Dean Martin

All over the internet there are many questions that keep popping up regarding the Fujifilm system and off camera flash. Which triggers are the best? How can I fully control off camera flash from my Fujifilm X Camera. Here I am going to show you which triggers that I have found the best, and how to set them up to work correctly on your Fujifilm X camera. The one problem that all us Fuji shooters have encountered is not having a good off camera flash system. Pre Fuji when I was 100% Canon I finally upgraded to the 600 EX RT system. This system works flawlessly, doing exactly what it was meant to do. I assumed that when I switched to Fuji that the same system would still control the Flashes from my Fuji as they both share the centre triggering pin. This was not the case. After a couple of weeks of research I came across a post that suggested the Yongnuo YN-622C TX. Yongnuo had released an update where once updated on the YN-622C TX, you could switch it into Legacy mode. Legacy mode fooled the camera into thinking it had a Fuji flash attached, which activated the centre pin, allowing you to use all the manual control features. This includes changing all off camera flash settings, groups, ratios, turning the flashes on/off and setting the flash zoom size. Here is what it looks like on the Fujifilm X-T1…….
