Winter is here | John Colson
Winter has finally arrived in the UK over the past few days. What was a thoroughly miserable December is now very much in the past and the temperature has now taken a much more seasonal turn for the better. December was remarkably warm, leading to some of the most intense storms the country has seen in a long time. I spent a good portion of Christmas in the Lake District and saw the damage the storms caused first hand… I feel so very sorry for all of the people affected and can only wish them the very best as they try to rebuild their lives. Now that winter is finally here, the beautiful English countryside has taken on a wonderfully eerie and wintry glow. I love taking images during this time of the year… it feels like there is so much more mystery to the world! The following images were all taken today (January 20th 2016) during a short stroll in Worcestershire. I used a Fujifilm X-E2 with 35mm 1.4 lens and the images are processed in Lightroom using VSCO…….
