Horsing Around with the Fuji X-T1 | Josh McLeod

Last week I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to photograph Justine and her beautiful horse Random Blue. There were a number of challenges associated with this shoot and for those of you out there who have worked with animals I am sure I you know what I am talking about. Some of the photos from the shoot have been posted on social media since late last week and I have had quite a number of people write to me about my the lighting setup(s) I used for the shoot and I also had some ask about my experiences using the Fuji X-T1 for “action” photography. Given the number of messages and emails I received I thought I would write about the equipment I used and the shoot in general. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get any “Behind the Scenes” shots. The aim of the shoot was to create 2 different styles of images. I wanted to capture the bond between Justine and Random Blue and then show two of them in competition trim doing what they do on a weekly basis……..
