Review Fuji TCL X100 Teleconverter | Mark Kitaoka

I own a Fuji X100S and formerly owned their X100. For my commercial work it is a remarkable tool for the right situation. I use the X100S for personal use since it has so many features I enjoy. I normally don’t write reviews until I’ve had whatever I’m reviewing for a few months, but in this case I’m making an exception. I ordered and purchased my TCL-100 off Amazon through a third party retailer at the street price of 349.00. I had seen retailers from Japan selling the unit prior to its release, but was not willing to pay what they were asking. Although my X100S is silver I really didn’t care that the lens for sale was black. I’ve purposely made my little Fuji look crummy with gaff and grip tape. My clients laugh whenever I bring it out on a commercial shoot. They call it “Mark’s little beat up instamatic,” but after seeing the results never complain about its use for their work………

Fuji TCL-X100 A new perspective for your Fuji x100s |
Faby and Carlo

The Fuji TCL-X100 is the new teleconverter for x100s (and x100 as well). It simply converts your x100s from a 35mm to a 50mm camera. I had read quite few reviews before deciding to buy one, in the end I love the documentary feeling of the 35mm. What triggered me to do it was flexibility. With the Fuji TCL-X100, you have one of the best cameras in two different versions. As you may already know, our reviews are never pixel perfect. I don’t know how much the Fuji TCL-X100 weights, or how big it is. And for what matters, I am not going to find out. What you will find out today is going to be how I felt with my Fuji x100s and the Fuji TCL-X100 on top of it, what I loved, what I disliked and the general outcomes of my first hours with it. Please remember that the x100s is my main camera. Currently I photograph 100% of my subject with it……

TCL-X100 50mm for the x100/s | Neill Soden

First off, I hope the next versions of the cameras and converters will have some sort of contact that tells the camera you’re putting either the wide or this-tele converter on. I found it quite a hassle to have to use the menu to tell it when it is on or off. In my case, the converter was constantly on and off, so while I used it, I changed my function button to set it to the correct converter. The converter does not seem to lose any quality or light when used. Much like the wide angle, it performs great and the results are absolutely nothing to complain about. I did find that the AF performance dropped slightly when used, but it was still workable in most cases. When attached to the camera, the EXIF data sees it as a 33mm  (±50mm equivlent ). The converter does add a bit of weight and size to the X100s, as you can see in the photo above…….

Review: Fujifilm TCL-X100 Converter Lens | BigHeadTaco

When Fujifilm announced the WCL-X100 wide angle converter for the X-100 series cameras, I was a bit confused. The difference between the standard 35mm equiv (23mm) angle of view and the 28mm equiv you got with the converter was negligible. If it went to 21mm or even 24mm equiv, I would have been …

50mm Teleconverter for X100s – Review and sample images for Fujifilm TCL-X100 | Dubai Photography Club

We are truly in love with the Fujifilm X100s for more than a year now. When FujiFilm announced 50mm tele-converter back in April 2014, it was like a dream coming true for most of the X100/X100s owners. Fujifilm did a wonderful job by providing three different focal lengths (28mm, 35mm, 50mm) ev…

A Tale of Two Tele’s – Fuji Teleconverters | Jason Pitcher

A few months back I picked up the WCL-X100 for my Fuji x100s. This is the wide angle teleconverter that takes the built in lens from 35mm to 28mm equivalent focal length. Surprisingly, the maximum aperture of f2.0 is maintained, although whether through misdirection or skullduggery on the part of…
