The Fuji XF 16-55 MM LM WR ƒ2.8 (Part 1) | Adam King

Today may be Friday the 13th, but it is also the first day after the US embargo on delivery of Fuji newest XF Zoom, the Fuji XF 16-55 MM LM WR ƒ2.8. I had pre-ordered and arranged for overnight delivery. So I am one of the few with this thing already in hand.  I have a concert lined up for tonight that I’m shooting (G. Love and Special Sauce at the House of Blues Chicago), so the first samples will wait until the follow-up to this in the next couple days. What I can offer are a few shots of the gear, and some very early impressions. This is the first Fuji lens that actually feels large to me. The 18-135 and 55-200 felt slim, and even the 50-140 felt quite compact for the range and aperture it was covering. This feels quite substantial. It carries a 77mm filter size, and weighs in at 655 grams (1.4 lbs)…….
