Ibelux HandeVision 40mm f/0.85 announced, world’s fastest lens for
mirrorless systems | Nino Leitner

An impressive German / Chinese joint venture between Shanghai-based Transvision Photographic Equipment co. Ltd. and Bavaria-based IB/E OPTICS GmbH has announced the release of the world’s fastest lens for mirrorless cameras: The Ibelux HandeVision 40mm f/0.85. (“Han” means China in Mandarin and “De” is the abbreviation for Deutschland – which means Germany.) You might know the popular Voigtländer lenses which are the only ones that come close at f/0.95 – but the HandeVision seems to be a whole different ball game altogether, because other than the Voigtländers, it also covers APS-C sensors. The lens will be available for Sony NEX-, Fuji X-, Canon EOS M- and Micro 4/3 Mounts and seems to work totally analogue. I am not sure this is correct, but according to the spec sheet, the lens weighs around 1.2 kilograms (2.6 pounds), which would be massive, but could be real for 10 lenses in 8 groups…….
