Fuji XF 35mm f/2 WR First Impressions | Matt McCord

First off, this lens arrived right after dark. I haven’t even shot in the light with this thing yet. Half the time, I shot before the latest firmware update, which seemed to make the already blazing fast AF of this lens even faster. I’m going to do a more expensive review of this lens shortly. But, for now, considering I’ve shot with this lens for only about two hours, I’m considering this a very first impressions. My first impressions are that this lens feels solid. It has weight. It doesn’t have any elements that feel cheap. The aperture ring is the most dampened out of any of the Fuji lenses. Same for the MF  ring. Same goes for the AF. This thing is the fastest focusing XF lens I’ve used, and it’s silent. You can’t even feel the motors running. In short….this thing is a beast. I got the lens after dark so I all the images were taken between 1600 and 3200 ISO. I’ll write more about it soon……..
