Announced in January 2016 and released a few months later, the Fujinon XF 100-400mm ƒ/4.5-5.6 is an image stabilized telephoto zoom lens designed for Fuji’s X-series of camera. Weighing in at a touch over three pounds, it’s the heaviest lens Fuji’s produced for the svelte X-series. With the APS-C sensor employed by the X-series, the lens produces an effective field of view of 150-600mm, making it an ideal wildlife lens.The lens uses a variable aperture, in that as you increase the focal length, the maximum aperture size decreases, however the minimum remains the same.
